Mildred Margaret Bormann

Mildred Margaret Bormann went home to be with the Lord on January 27, 2022, after a long illness. She was born on November 8, 1933, in New York City, NY. In 1954 she received her R. N. Degree. She married George Bormann Jr. in 1955 and had four wonderful children. Her family moved from White Plains, NY to Richmond, Vermont in 1966 when her husband found a job working for G.E. She loved Vermont!

Mildred was always busy taking care of her family and helping her husband with the Sunoco Station they operated in Williston, VT. She also was a 4H leader and Cub Scout leader. She loved to garden and took care of her vegetable and flower gardens at her home on Richmond Hill. In 1980 she took a refresher course and went back into nursing full time for 12 years. In the 1970's Mildred and her husband George committed their lives to Jesus Christ, their faith and love for God brought them through many challenges in the coming years.

She was predeceased by her husband George in 2013.

She is survived by her children, daughter Karen Bormann of Rochester, NY; daughter Julie Bormann of Mont Clare, PA; son Peter and his wife Heidi Bormann of Richmond, VT; son Mark and his wife Pam Bormann of North Conway, NH; and three grandsons, Drew Bormann, Kyle Bormann, and Eric Bormann.

There will be a Memorial Service at Essex Alliance Church, 37 Old Stage Road, Essex Junction, VT on February 18, 2022, at 1:00 pm. Reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Richmond Food Shelf, PO Box 174, Richmond, Vermont 05477.
