Martin H. Corbett
Richmond, VT

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Martin H. Corbett on September 6, 2021.  The oldest of seven children, Marty was born August 16, 1938 in Springfield, Massachusetts, to Martin and Elizabeth Corbett. 

Marty married Shirley Kenyon on November 18, 1967 and together they had six children; Veronica Willetts of Colchester, Marty and Sue Corbett of Westford, Massachusetts, Don Corbett of Colchester, Teddy and Kristy Corbett of Colchester, Bernadette and Rob Couture of Colchester, and Dawn Corbett of Ellsworth, Maine.   

After graduating from high school, Marty joined the Air Force retiring after 42 years of service.    In retirement he and his family became world travelers.  He also volunteered at the Red Cross receiving the Clara Burton Award.  He was an active member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Richmond where he joined the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed helping with the parish breakfasts and dinners.  

In addition to his wife and children, Marty is survived by his sisters Judie and her husband Bob Aversa of Ware, Massachusetts  and Elizabeth Corbett of Texas, his brothers Donald and his wife Edna of Essex Junction, Lewis and his wife Sandra of Tucson, Arizona, and Fred and his wife Joelen of Crimora, Virginia; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.   Marty was predeceased by his parents and his brother Richard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Richmond. Burial with military honors will follow at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Tilden Avenue, Richmond.
