Larry J. Haskins, Sr.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of life-long Huntington resident Larry J. Haskins, Sr. on Monday, August 16, 2021. He died at home of natural causes.
Larry was born on May 27, 1946 in Burlington, VT to Joseph and Hilda (Zeno) Haskins. He married Sandra Ross on July 27, 1968 in Huntington. Together they raised two sons; Larry Haskins, Jr. and Chris Haskins. Larry worked in the excavating industry for Craig Cowles Excavation and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. Larry loved to surround himself with his family and friends. He enjoyed picking berries, gardening, was an avid hunter, and loved working on and fixing cars.
Left to cherish Larry’s memory are his wife, Sandra; sons Larry Haskins, Jr, and Chris Haskins; sister Rhoda Pecor; grandchildren Brianna Haskins, Trevor Haskins, Megan Lacallaide; many nieces and nephews; and special friends Bruce Moody and Ken Russin.
He was predeceased by his brothers; Rufus “Bud” Haskins, Roland Haskins, and Bill Haskins.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a later date.
