David S. Lowell
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Scott Lowell, 63, on January 27, 2021, of natural causes.
David was born May 3, 1957, in Burlington, VT, the son of Leslie and Mary (Russin) Lowell. He graduated from Champlain Valley Union High School in 1975. On April 27, 1990, he married the love of his life Nancy Haskins in Huntington, VT. David and Nancy were married for 30 of their 42 years together and made many happy memories.
David spent many years as a sheetrocker and heavy equipment operator. He was a life-long farmer who began farming at a very young age and never seemed to lose the love for it. David also loved gardening; he was well known for his “Green Thumb”. He was an outdoor enthusiast who was happiest hunting, fishing, ice fishing and boating with wife and family. David’s love and loyalty to his kids and grandkids never went unnoticed. He was a father figure and role model to many. He was an amazing man, quick with a smile and always willing to help; he will be sorely missed.
Left to cherish David’s memory are his wife, Nancy; daughters Jessica Haskins, and Becky Haskins; grandchildren Brianna Haskins, Trevor Haskins, Olivia Weaver, Ethan Weaver, Ryan Weaver, Jarett Tourville, Darien Haselton, and Dristin Haselton. Also surviving are his sister, Carol Emmons, and his brothers Leslie Lowell, Stanley Lowell and Roger Lowell.
David was predeceased by his parents Leslie and Mary Lowell; son, Jason Scott Lowell; sister, Joanne Lowell; and brothers Wesley Lowell and Donnie Lowell; great nephew, Robert Lowell
David’s wife and daughters will host a celebration of his life in May.
